WHAT ALL YOU SHOULD KNOW FOR TRAVELLING TO YOU FAVOURITE CITIES OF INDIA
The fourth phase of the lockdown refereed as lockdown 4.0 has allowed a lot of movements to take place across the country. Public transportation and personal vehicles are now under no legal restrictions. But these relaxations are different for interstate and intrastate movements. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs guidelines, local government authorities are responsible for the transport within the cities in a state. People are allowed to visit different cities within their state, using buses/ taxis or their own vehicles, if available, with permission from the local authorities. In order to cross state borders, state governments of the concerned states have to agree on a mutual basis to allow the action. The state has to issue an e-pass from the government website developed to grant passes. The National Informatics Centre ( NIC ) processed this website which is single-point access. For now, the permit is only allowed for 17 states in India. Major states are excluded from this list. This website is a navigator for the state-specific websites. It contains a list of the states which are then directed on to the state website comprising of a form for uploading all the required documents. Authorities provide approval on the basis of the credibility of the documents. Post-approval, people will be informed through an SMS along with a link to download the e-pass. The person travelling needs to carry the e- pass during the journey. The e-pass also gives an insight of the Arogya Setu App. States that have allowed the interstate permits are Uttar Pradesh, Nagaland and Maharashtra and few others.
